What is the function of a database?

A structured collection of data or records stored in a computer system is called a database.A data base is the sum of one or more interrelated data tables or files. This is to sort the data according to the data model. Many databases are called data banks. All the data of an organization is stored in the database of that organization.

Database is mainly of 2 types. Such as : 1. General database & 2. Relational database. The database can be further divided depending on the usage requirements. Such as :1.Centralized Database.

 2.Distributed Database.

 3.Personal database.

 4.Ind-user database.

 5.Commercial database.

 6.No SQL Database.

 7.Operational database.etc

Database contains various elements. Such as ;

1.Data:Data is what we input in different fields of the data table.

2.Field : The item in the database is called the field. The field is the basis of the database. Incorrect data entry can be prevented by setting validation options in the field. The same field contains the same type of data.

  1. Record :A record is made up of data from many fields. A row in a data table is considered a record. Records contain different types of data from different fields.

4.Data table : A table is made up of one or more records. All similar data is stored in a data table.

Databases do different kinds of work Which helps us a lot in our modern world. Office work is becoming much easier because of the database. Through the data processing of the database we can know about the nature of specific data and their properties.The results of different schools and colleges are done through the database. The annual reports of schools and colleges are created by the database. Databases are used for various calculations. The main function of a database is to search for data faster and to store data in the most secure way.If necessary, the database or part of the database can be printed. Data can be corrected and searched through the database. It is possible to backup data through a database which is very beneficial for an organization. Database provides data security. Database user controls his data.

There are many benefits to using a database. Databases can be presented and managed very quickly. Data can be updated through the database. Data recovery can be done very easily through Database. This reduces data duplication. It is very easy to find data and records through databases . Database information is sorted by ascending and descending order as required. Databases can also be shared.

There are some difficulties with using the database. Databases are actually quite expensive. It requires trained skilled manpower to use it. It cannot be used  unless trained. Databases may be invalid due to incorrect data which causes a lot.Lack of database security can lead to data hacking. If it is hacked, the reputation of an organization is ruined. Not only is the reputation of the organization tarnished but there is also financial loss.

In conclusion, the database does a lot of work to help us in our daily lives. As the scope of the Internet grows, so does the user’s data, so the need for databases to store data.  In addition to saving data on the hard disk in the coming days, data can be stored through online databases, due to which its demand and growth will gradually increase.For this, the chances of losing data in online cloud computing databases will be very low. If you want to raid data recovery then you can use various free data recovery software from online.
